Lisa,
I agree! This day is a present from God and I will treat it accordingly!

It is a beautiful day here in the foggy south. Looking out my front door I cannot see the roofs across the road because of the dense fog. I love these kinds of days.

My blood sugar was 144 this morning after the pumpkin pie, so I am proud of that. I also had reduced my insulin by 10 units last night...

Irish, I am not taking your "cold" feelings lightly. Have you tried the flannel-lined jeans? Silk thermal underwear? It is thinner and supposed to be warmer than wool. My dh feels the cold but wears thermals from October to April even here in the sunny south.

Today I will work on my GFG quilt. I will also finish piecing my grandnephew's sport quilt. I have to put the borders on it and then I'm ready to quilt.

Speaking of spelling--I work in an elementry school. I just came back from a first grade classroom where the kids were writing about spiders. One little boy wrote "sometimes they eat in sexes." I wasn't quite sure what to say so I showed it to the teacher she said it meant "insects." Youve got to love them. Oh well I'm not be best speller either.

I just found out that my daughter (who is in the Army) will be coming home from Afghanistan before Christmas!!

I cannot wait to hear that she has touched American soil!

Oh please bring our soldiers home safe and sound!

Lisa, what a lovely post. A nice way to start the day.

MJ, I know you weren't taking my coldness lightly. You have enough health problems of your own without worrying about mine. I find layers of clothes very confining, but I will try Cuddleduds again. I don't think silk long underwear is in my budget. I need to take up my Cuddleduds so there is no extra fabric around my legs. I think I bought the wrong size. My hands and lower legs are like ice. Who knows what's going on. If I go to the Dr, he'll give me another prescription.

I just made a blueberry coffeecake and my hands are purple. I went to the hopital like this for my first baby. I was making Concord grape jam when labor became intense. Not the same hands though. My wedding ring was a 5 and now I wear a 7.

I need to get ready to go to my chiropractor. I'll check in later.

I am losing weight and getting healthier - with a smile on my face and in my heart - Thank you, Lisa. Hey, Lisa, if you don't hear from the fireman in a few days, bake some cookies and drop them by the fire department. This time you won't be mud covered.

I have been hopping onto my elliptical 4 or 5 mornings a week a 5:45 AM. Not my favorite thing to do but it seems to be working I have been dropping about 1 pound a week and I haven't been eating as well as I should. SO it is paying off. I work at a school and tomorrow we start our after school get buff class. The gym teacher is going to put it on since nearly everyone is trying to diet. She is a pretty hard core exerciser I hope she doesn't kill us. We told her to be gentle on us to start.
