So funny - no wonder there's a book called "Walter the Farting Dog" (which my son proudly owns) lol!

That's a book I have to find. Everytime my Hubby and I are watching a movie and someone farts, he gets the giggles and just can't stop!

I am loving these! It is nice to know that there are other dogs out there with this problem and loving owners who are willing to "overlook" the problem!

We had a Doberman (Sunshine), who would look at her butt, eyes popping, "did you do that?!?!"

I had that problem with my male Airedale. The charcoal tabs worked wonders (and still do if he has an occasional situation).
Our pup is 8 yo and he is eating Science Diet Light Small Bites. Even though he weighs 85 lbs, the small bits are good because of the digestion since it is smaller. I put a small amount of canned food in with it to spruce it up for him. I buy Harmony brand roast venison. It is good protein and low fat.
BTW I also give my dogs fish oil capsules (human kind) twice a day. When I got my male (both are rescued dogs) his coat was very coarse. Now it is like velvet.
I tried the fish oil pills on our boxer, Lib, and she just puked it up all over the carpet! To say I was annoyed is an understatement! That was stinky, too.

Our malamute mix Lucatoni (my husband's dog) has an absolutely killer rear end....his little chi cross companion Topo (my dog) is the total opposite (though he does burp, which is ultimately better). When Luca "drops one" Topo hops off the couch and leaves the room...it has us in hysterics....Luca is so laid back, he doesn't give a rats, just rolls over and lets it all happen!

We had black labs that could clear out a room in 20 seconds. In fact Cloud's "air" was so bad SHE"D leave the room after farting. We kept vanilla yogurt on hand. Gave them a healthy tablespoon and it helped. Vet said it was a good idea too. They just loved it but didn't like it ON their food, just a blob in their dish. They didn't need it all the time, just occasionally. Cheap fix!

Change their food. Get a better brand. It is worth the price.

Check with your vet first, but ours said a Gas Ex was ok occasionally to give them. We changed to a better food and no more problems. Try a chicken and rice diet for a few days to help clear out their system and then start on the new food. Again, check with your vet.

Our deaf boxer, Roxy, will wake herself up and look around with a confused, annoyed expression. She's potent!!
