I have had the worst luck taking any pictures of the animals who visit my yard this year. Sorry I can't show one. We don't have such colorful birds here on the west coast as you gals do. But, we do have a tiny owl that lives in the ground. The cutest little thing you ever saw! Just brown and grey but so darling.

Our state bird is the nevada blue bird. He looks much like a blue jay without a top knot. I have one that screams into my open kitchen window if I don't have food out there for him. That little pill ... LOL! We have finch, but they are mostly just brown. The male has a little red face. And they sound like a squeek toy, not a song bird like yours. I have a pair in my front trumpet vine nesting there.

Sorry I went on so... But, I just enjoyed your pictures so much, I got inspired. Beautiful! You should send them in to Birds and Blooms magazine.
Keep your camera close by---I would love to see pics of your birds too. The little owl sounds adorable!

And how cool was that hummingbird???? Aren't they just precious?

Marcia - let's make a deal I will share pics of my back yard if you continue to share your kitchen window pics.
My kitchen is in the middle of the house with no window to look out. I hate it. and it gets so warm during summer without a breeze and it is alway's dark. Have to turn a light on even in mid day. So lets share and we will all be happy!

Beautiful Macia, We get a lot of blue birds in this part of Ga. I haven't seen some of the ones you get. Gonna look at what you have to atract them. The humming birds I have tried and tried only gotten a couple. I do love them. Thanks for the pictures.

I'd love to have your scenery. My kitchen window is facing my neighbors house.
