Painting is not so bad, if I don't mind wearing the color of the walls.

There is nothing else you can do for the price that has such a big impact. I love the freshness of new paint!

I also enjoy painting, though I usually spend several hours custom mixing paint to get the exact color I want, lol.

I like painting but don't like moving everything out of the way and covering everything. I still get paint on something!!

I always did the painting. Once hubby helped.
we have been married for almost 40 years and get along really well on most things but if we ever paint a room together again I will probably commit murder.
Our youngest son worked for a painter for a while and learned all kinds of things. He lived in our house while we were out of state for 3 years. He took all the popcorn stuff off the ceilings and put a plaster design on the ceilings. They are soooo pretty. I chose all the colors and my house looks so nice.
There is a trick to painting a ceiling to reflect light so all the rooms are very light. I hate dark rooms but don't like stark white.

Oh I can relate!!! I really hate painting especially with all our walls in the house being tongue and groove type.

I've painted a LOT.. paint seems cheap compared to most of the other improvements... I even like to paint.. what I don't like anymore is painting the baseboard, or cutting in that bottom edge.. I've also started wearing bifocals and they have taken the joy out of cutting in the top of the wall! Once I get those two parts done, I like the rest!

I love to paint. Getting ready to pick colors for ds's room when he takes his furniture soon. Then carpet in 2 bedrooms, hall and stairs. Little by little I will paint this year, we've been here 9 years and its time for a fresh coat.
