I like to paint. I've slowed down alot now but I used to have to paint a room a month...heehee drove my hubby nuts...but I just needed change, and alot of it.
I got really quick at it too...a few weeks ago I painted my daughters whole main floor of her apt in a day...three different colors too. Now her friends call me to help them and I always tell them they are alot younger than I am! LOL

I was just thinking today that I need to get busy and get the last bit of painting done now that the holidays are over. My kitchen is screaming for something new.

I have a friend who is such a GOOD wife, her husband requested to paint their bedroom a abright John Deere green (I just had to ask her to see it!) well it was green including the ceiling. To make it work she did a quilt with that color green in it and added a big NEW iron bed plus lots of lace at the windows and dust ruffle, while not my cup of tea for me -----it was charming. Light, airy and cheerful. He let her decorate the rest of the house as she saw fit. She is BIG on quilting and her home has the touch (to invite you in). She a bettter woman than me, since I driven John Deere tractors for more years than I can count, I'd be dreaming I was still in the fields never to get out!!

I have finally gotten the bottom trim and window trim painted. Sigh. Now if I can convince myself to finish it.

Does anyone like to paint a room? I honestly would be happy just throwing the paint on the wall and letting it drip down. LOL!!! At least DH will do the ceiling. :-D
I love to paint walls and change the look of a room. I'd come help if I had time!

I love painting walls and doing creative finishes, but like amandasgramma, I need color. I am really thinking of painting my kitchen red when I figure what to do with all my Southwest decor.

been going thu the same thing. I went away for the weekend retreat in Oct and DH painted the upstairs bathroom. no consuling on the color. LOL bright Yellow, I mean bright. then did dS's room. was RED now is green, I did pick that paint. next week is spare room that was DSS's room. then to our room. I am staying out of his way. LOL. 1st he sands the sprayed on ceiling to make it smooth. then has to clean that up, then paints the ceilng, then the room, then I get to do the trim. He is lousy at the trim. The problem now, is what color??? He wont use white!!! he loves color. He is retired about a year, so this had given him something to do. with my allergies, I stay away. It is gotten to be the family joke. I am taking my Dad to see my Sister in Jan, 3 states away, he can sand and paint all he want while I am gone. Happy New Year to all.
