I have cats they are my babies, When i die I would like to get together with all my passed cats at a round table (cause they all thought they were in charge) and ask questions' and I hope they will be able to talk!!!

Interesting that you put this up today. We just had to put our younger cat down today. She developed FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and was in great discomfort.
However, the vet was very nice. We are going to bring her ashes home and bury her at home.

I worked for a Vet for about a year and
we had a lady lie in the cage with her
dog for 2 hours until she was ready for
the procedure and then she lay beside
the dog until it passed.
Then I cried with he.
I thought this was the most wonderful
thing that an owner could do.

i have always held my pet as it has crossed into the next life. i would not dream of letting them be alone. the first animal i had to put down was my parents' ancient cocker spaniel. she was deaf and blind by then and had never been to that particular vet. i knew she would be terrified at all the unfamiliarity. i held her, my face in hers, crooning to her. her last sensations were of being surrounded by love and hopefully peace. i hope someday to meet her, and all my other wonderful pets at the bridge.

Number 10 hit me hard. I have only had to "put down" one animal, a cat we had for 15 years. The vet's office was amazing! They gave us a private room, let us call the kids and waited until they got there. I was able to hold Sally while they gave her the shots and held her through her last breath and all the way home (in fact, for about two hours after we got home.) I hope my family is able to do the same for me!
