It was a beautiful snow fall here in eastern Iowa but I was worried about my oldest son. He is a long haul truckdriver and he drove in snow from Indiana all the way home. He is home safe and with his family waiting for Santa. The roads are snow covered and slick in places.

We have family in Iowa and they had to cancel plans for Christmas. She said it was like a snow globe turned upside down. Now that sounds beautiful. We had 4-1/2" here yesterday morning. But our neighbor got it all for us. God love him. We are so lucky with good neighbors. Edie

It was the prettiest snowfall I've seen in a long time - indeed, it was like a snow globe turned upside down! We cancelled plans too and ended up with 9.5 inches at our house

I am from Iowa also and it was just a beautiful snow. Left all the Christmas lights on all day. We don't get many a snow fall like the Christmas eve of 2010

Here are pics from an earlier snowfall...I haven't gotten any from yesterdays. Still really pretty here in Iowa!

Eastern TN looked like that this morning. The trees are bare now, but perfect this morning. I've posted a couple pictures on my website blog. You can find the link in my signature.

I'm trying to attach a picture of what our yard looked like this morning after yesterday's snowfall. Was very beautiful...especially when you don't have any where to go.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

You are right! It is beautiful. Sitting in front of the window sewing and watching those beautiful flakes (lots of them) coming down. Don't know how much we got but had to go move my car so the parking lot could be cleaned and it was to the top of my boots. It really made it seem like Christmas. Hope you had a good one and have a healthy and prosperous NEW YEAR. Marge
