I round the corners in a pillow a bit. Not enought to make it LOOK round, just enough to not have to pack stuffing in and have the corners look like arrow heads. Seems to work for me.

You can measure in a little way from each corner and sew a line on the diagonal, just as you do on the bottom of a tote bag or purse, then turn and insert pillow form, or stuff.

I lay a layer of batting on the inside, then stuff between the batting layers. Smooth pillows and then the odd edges and corners at least pretend to look nice.

But, I'm not sewing many basic square type pillows. Because dinosaurs lived in mountains, of course.

Yep, I don't make them razor sharp, either; I round them also.
