I have never been to the area without seeing deer and turkeys along the way.

You should also visit Zimmerman's store near Rutledge. It's an Amish grocery/fabric store. You can buy many food items in bulk cheaply that I don't find in other places.

That is a great idea, and they could go to Renningers flea market, it is HUGE ! They have it every weekend. It is in Kutztown, Pa

Take the Turquoise Trail from Albuquerque, NM to Santa Fe. Then take the High Road from Santa Fe to Taos. You will find neat, artisan shops along both ways. In Albuquerque, go to the Indian Pueblo Museum. A lot to do in NM, beautiful state. Gila Cliff dwellings in the SW part of the state. I'm ready to go back there.

If you are willing to go back to the southwest Virginia area, this may interest you. GREAT scenery. Many places to stop along the way to look around or fish. Two places to stop and eat along the trail. When the spring flowers are in bloom it is GORGEOUS. Later in the summer, wild roses line the trail.

We saw several deer. Many people stopped and caught fish in the creeks. You can't even see the road from the trail so cars are never a worry.

We did Whitetop to Damascus last summer. I promise there is virtually no pedalling involved. I'm no biker!

[quote=BellaBoo]The prettiest town ever and so much see there and around there is Sedona AZ.

It is wonderful there. The Hopi Indian cliff dwellings are near by, and quite an incredible sight.
