I've been letting mine go natural since covid started. I last had a cut and color last year in September for my 50th high school reunion. The front bang area is now very light/white, and everything else is mousey brown, dull gray. I've been toying with the idea of a temporary dye for the front, but afraid of the "temporary" part. We once used a temporary burgundy on my son's blond hair, and that took months and a few cuts to get rid of it all! We do need pics if you proceed!
Wacky colours to match this wacky year do sound like fun though.

My daughter has colored her hair for years. She's currently blue! She uses a vegetable-based dye from Sally's. It washes out slowly. I have white curly hair and have been wanting to "pull it through a cap" for highlights.

I started DIY color 10 years ago when I retired. I use BTZ Color Jamz in raspberry kamakazie (like the color better) and mix it into Manic Panic hot hot pink (lasts longer) from Sally's. I use a q-tip and a plastic glove to apply it to a small section at the front of my part. Clean up drips with rubbing alcohol. Lasts for a few washings before needing to be redone. Inexpensive and no appointment needed. It's just fun!
