In Texas at our home, filet mignon, twice-baked potatoes, blackeyed peas with cornbread. Dh has been doing this for 50 years. Mine was always ham and blackeyed peas with cornbread until we married.

Mom always made pork and sauerkraut. I don't really like it. :)

I'm near Wilkes-Barre, the land of Polish and German traditions.

We had salmon and red skin smashed potatoes for dinner. Tomorrow- PENN STATE Football at 1! With lots of snacks and my own bottle of Dr. Pepper. Life is good!

(I'm the one with the Penn State sweatshirt, slippers and blanket with the remote in one hand and my pompom in the other.)

We are doing it a little different this year, we are going to grille out pork chops and then the usual blackeyed peas with cabbage, fresh turnip greens, and cornbread.

Was just in Reading at the beginning of Nov for 3 days, found a great little quilt shop in Wyomissing.

We just snack on stuff all evening. A bean dip tray, super bowl dip, little smokies and a meat and cheese tray.

Cabbage rolls/sauerkraut is our New Years dinner every year. And every football game they show! I'll be sewing so I don't care.
