And, I wonder how much of it is the union.. it doesnt make much sense why they continue to keep employees when there isnt work to do.. seems to me if the Post Office was run by the private sector, things would be a lot different.

Quase government run USPS just costs too much...
Like the DOJ paying something like $13.50 for a muffin and $8.64 for a cup of coffee. I want my money back please!
OH..better yet, can we quilters get together and sell them our quilts and wall hangings?

[so I'm unfamiliar with WTF]
working in an office that gets lots of mail and a fair amount of returned mail my guess is it is if it was hand written it may have been poor penmanship for U instead of W TF which would be Unable to Forward.

WOW ! lots to think about.
Ouir local P.O. is closing also loosing $25,000 a year. I feel this one should have been closed years ago. I also agree to get some of the top guns gone or give them more work to do. Do you know any private businesses that can afford to stay in business losing that much every year?
I have a niece that has retired from the P.O. she had worked her way up. Spent 2 years many hours from her home for the entire time, they paid for her room and either paid for her to go home every third week or her husband to visit her every third week. I feel they could have found someone in the Chicago area that was capable of doing this job - from their home !
After that she spend 2 years in another 'important job' 4 hours from home - this time she had to rent her own apartment but the same issue about she or spouse visiting every third week persisted.
I feel the government needs to get rid of some top guns also. In fact when they pass laws they need to include themselves in those laws , not exempt themselves from them.
thanks for letting me vent.
