I feel the same way. I have no one that quilts......so if I mention something about quilting I get this "boring look"

Blowing the waterpump on my car has given me more time to sew rather than roaming around.Should be fixed soon though.

Oh yes I have those sort of friends too...lol Infact they have gotton to the point of asking what stores I plan on shopping at before they agree to do any shopping with me. Yep only other quilters understand the bliss of a day in the sewing rm.

I know exactly what you are saying. First o all I was on Facebook for a little while. Didn't like some of the things DH"s DIL's were posting so I took myself off. Nothing seems to be sacred anymore. I have been whining about not having a crafting friend and I stumbled across this board. I love it! I met someone on here that lives about 25 minutes from me and we plan on meeting after the first of the year. I am newly retired and adjusting to that also. I wanted to take a picture of first quilting project ever (this past month) and email it to some friends and family...then decided why? They don't get it. Most days now, I love living in my own "little world". Safe, warm and sane there! ;)

lol, I know how that is...I only have two friends that understand the obsession for sewing and doing crafts...all the others are crazy. I wonder what they do with their lives. Do they even do anything? If I have an hour I have to try to make something, or I'm searching the internet for ideas.

I have wondered that also. what do they do with their time? I have to keep my hands and mind busy also. I traveled many years for my job. The guy I traveled with (he drove all the time) used to laugh and say what are "we" crafting today on our drive? I am constantly on the internet looking for ideas. It's that type A personality thing!
