I also have a great hubby. He participates by helping my lay out my quilt. When I get the blocks made and it's time for the layout he has a really good eye for that. He also praises me for every project made. He has thanked me numerous times for making him a quilt. He touches it, pats it and says "my woman made this for me". My hubby is definitely a keeper. We've been married 34 years and I hope for many, many more.

My DH is a lot of help also. He is great at making things for me like a design board, large ironing board and made me a great sewing room. He helps with design and math when I have trouble with it. He is good with machines and is better at running the LA machine than I am. We have been married 48 years so I'll keep him.

That's nice! I know I wouldn't be praising my DH if he was in my sewing room all day. We are complete opposites but the same in being opposite. LOL.

I must say I don't want my DH anywhere near my quilting! LOL. He's a perfectionist and if he tried he'd spot a less than perfect seam allowance a mile away ... and I got a lot of them ... and that's okay with me!!!

Your hubby is a keeper. I'm dealing with a bad case of carpal tunnel and have thought of asking my hubby to cut out the next project. Rotary cutting kills me. He's a highly skilled carpenter who built the house we live in. I'm thinking he's more than qualified to cut out a project. In fact, it would probably better and more accurate than I can do.

Before you know it, he'll be having his own fabric stash!

Like the pants that I had put in a bag and "would get to them later" to hem them. Well, he sewed them up himself. I think eventually I'll get him to sew some blocks together. I know there are alot of hubbies out there like mine. Aren't they great.
You are blessed!

Maybe we should have some kind of Helpful DH contest with some awards! Mine does all my cutting, collaborates on layouts, helps load client quilts on long arm and gives input on quilt design selection AND watches craigslist & papers for vintage machines.
