My Gram had a cook stove in her kitchen and I always wondered how she was able to maintain the heat to bake a pie. I recall her stuffing the chamber with wood. Her pies would sit atop the stove and I do not recall her offering a piece. Boo!! (The things we remember.)

I didn't know they made electric ones . Learn something new every day. When I was a little girl we had a woodstove and to this day I have never tasted bread like what came from that stove. :-) I just don't want to chop wood anymore. LOL
Copper is pretty and I am sure it is wonderful but no way do I have the energy to keep it looking that nice. Just lovely.

I use a product called Copper Glo. It is a biodegradable powder that comes in a can like Ajax. It doesn't take much effort unless you have let them go for quite some time and they are badly tarnished.

Love the stove and the furniture you posted. You have a lovely home and it is so interesting to look at. I love the copper pots. When I lived in Holland I began collecting copper pieces - most of them handmade. But...on one of our moves the copper collection was stolen and only a few pieces remained. Yours look wonderful against the green of the stove.
