My situation is very similar. I am Grandma Marty; my husband is Papa. It may be a one-way street for a while, but the little one will grow up knowing you loved her and that's what is important.

I think because you do have a fairly good relationship with your stepson, that the next time to talk to him, mention to him, that you would like him to tell you what this new baby may call you! That takes it out of you hands! Good luck!

We have had some remarriages in our family too. We live very close to my daughter's kids. They all call me Grandma and call my husband Grandpa (even tho is not related by blood to them) But, they have Great Grandparents etc. that they don't see as often and they call everyone Grandpa (last name) or Grandma (last name) When I send things to my stepdaughter and her kids, I sign "from Grandma Wheeler" because they live close to one of their other sets of grandparents. This way, we all know which person we are talking bout.

How about momma or mommy Jen? I called one grandnmother and the other was grannie. My great grandmother was little gramma

My older G'kids call me Grandma, the three younger ones call me Super Grandma,(a long story) and the Greats call me G'ma. My DIL who is stepmother to my son's girls asked that their kids call her MiMi. I think that's pretty generic.

You use "Mamagus" as your name on the board? Would that work?

I am Gramma ( my own way of spelling it) to my 6 Grandkids and step Grandson. Oldest Granddaughter write me notes using GMA, Two Great Granddaughters it is GGMA, Grampa, GPA and GGPA. As long as they love me I really don't care what they call me.
