One of the good things about hitting a plateau and you are on program, it is the science of the thing :)
You aren't carrying around a couple sacks of potatoes or butter, so the body isn't working as hard as before. So less calories burned.

Great job both of you!

I attended a cousins weekend Saturday with potluck. I took carrot chips, big bowl of watermelon, and my sauerkraut salad, so I could know I had good options. It really helped. I filled 1/2 of my plate with 0 food and took small samples of all the rest.
Here are a couple of recipes. When I make something like this I take all the points hits (sugar/oil) the first time I eat it then count them free until the bowl is gone.

Canned sauerkraut, any size
Rinse and rinse and rinse :) until the kraut smell is gone.
Squeeze out fluid.
If you love kraut and salt, just drain and squeeze out fluid.

1 pepper, I like orange or red for the color, chopped
2-4 celery stocks, chopped
couple slices of onion, chopped

Guess and bygolly dressing
For a Small can, 4-5 teaspoons of sugar
For a Large jar, 1/3ish cup sugar

1/2-2/3 cup water, microwave to dissolve sugar
1/3ish cup of vinegar, I like the red wine for the little added color.
Table spoon of oil to help the dressing adhere to the bits.
Stir together and stir it every time you go by so it is all blended. Or stick it in the fridge and stir it when served.
Keeps super well.

Another old fashioned favorite
Carrot Salad
Grate 6-8 big carrots (I Cuisinart because I'm a lazy bum and do a whole bag)
tablespoon orange juice
tablespoon brown sugar
tablespoonish mayo
pinch of salt.
Can add: raisins, chopped almonds, canned pineapple etc.
Stir it every time you go by or put in fridge and stir when served.

Those Special K and Luna Bars I tried are both yummy! A little too yummy! LOL! I'll have to be super-careful with them. It would be easy to get carried away. :p

Did I ever post my zero-point chili recipe? I don't think I did, but pardon if I'm repeating myself.

Cooked, Shredded Chicken Breast (I use about 2/3 of a quart-size baggie full of Costco's pre-packaged rotisserie chicken)
15oz Can of Tomato Sauce
15oz Can of Fat-Free Pinto Beans
15oz Can of Fat-Free Refried Beans
About 1/3 of a Can of Water
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Paprika
1 Tbsp Chili Powder (can use reduced salt variety if desired)
1 Tbsp Ground Cumin
1.5 Tsp Ground Oregano

Mix the canned ingredients, water, and spices together thoroughly, then stir in the chicken. I let mine cook in a crock pot for 2-3 hours. Divide into 7 individual one-cup servings, let cool, then freeze. I put a cup in the fridge to thaw the night before, so it'll be ready to eat the following day. This isn't a spicy chili, but it's very flavorful and thick. You could add more spices or onions or peppers if you want. :)

Well, at last the scales moved this morning. I was down two more pounds! Whew, I hope I can keep losing. Heavens knows I'm trying!

NZ- don't be too hard on yourself. You're nursing right now. I think that has something to do with it.

((((moonrise))) we lost little Kiwi last year after just a few weeks. He went into seizures and was just gone. I still grieve, he was so perfect. His sister is working double time in his stead.

I remember high school baseball games where the catcher would talk to the pitcher, pepper it in here, come on give it some pepper. In other words, a type of support.
We need some pepper going on here!

I have two pairs of jeans that fit now. That was my first and only goal because I absolutely will not buy bigger clothes. So for a year I've been alternating a grey slacks with brown slacks :)
So that is first goal.
My next goal is 155, what I weighed when I had my first cancer. In the back of my mind I'll let goal three drift around, while putting no pressure on myself :)

I did it as a nursing mom.. you get additional points because you are nursing. Its when you go back to work and that I have found harder!

I'm s-l-o-w-l-y losing still. At least it seems slow, but when I look at my weight chart, 16 lbs in three months isn't too bad. I'm now down to the very tip of healthy weight for my height... I would like to loose a bit more though. Yes, we need pepper!

I haven't posted in awhile, but I just stepped on the scale, and am excited to say that I've lost 51.4 pounds! Woo hoo! :D I was hoping I'd hit the 50 milestone before vacation, so I rode my indoor recumbent a million miles (seems like!) last week to burn those calories. I guess it worked! :)

I've still got quite a ways to go, to be where I want to be, but I'm gonna keep on keeping on! :)

I am in that plateau phase too. I lost pretty steadily Nov-April for a 35 lb loss. Since then, only 3 lbs in2 months. At least I am not gaining. At this rate the last 40 lbs will take forever. But I am happy with my improvements and had to buy some new clothes because I am down to the smallest things in my closet!
