I don't buy them either but someone out there is and it will keep being like this until people stop buying it.

The generation gaps are getting larger and larger for me. I hate to see the sloppy way kids dress today. Pants falling off their backsides, holes in their jeans, girls wearing so little there is nothing left to the imagination. I guess it's a good thing I'm living in my last stages in this life. I would hate to see what happens in the next 30 or 40 years.

Holes in the legs and the girls wearing such skimpy outfits that it leaves nothing to the imagination. Seems as though they take no pride in their appearance. I suppose it's a good thing that I am so old and living the final time of my life as I would hate to see what happens in years to come.

I agree: it's ridiculous to pay $150 or more for torn jeans when you can go to a thrift shop and get them.

Too funny!! I posted earlier in this thread, how I don't like them. And yet last year I was getting ready to stain my deck, so I dug out an old pair of jeans with a hole in the knee that I was saving for "dirty" work and my husband commented that it was sexy!! Go figure!! And he is from the same generation as I am. ha ha ha. Of course in high school back in the 70's all of us girls wore boys over-sized jeans and we embroidered on them. I do believe some girls had holes. can't remember now that was so long ago ha ha ha

I keep telling my husband that I need to start my own line for the mature woman. Clothes that are stylish but cover us up properly. So hard to find stylish clothes for the more mature woman. I keep saying I need to get back to sewing my own clothes but can't seem to find the time with all the other projects.

I throw out jeans that look better then some I see in the stores. I don't buy worn out jeans either. What a waste of money.

These match the $100+ sneakers and $50+ purses nowadays......thank heavens for thrift shops!!

When my grandson was 15, we went into a store is get him a pair of jeans. All of them looked like they were ready for the rag bag. I asked for a decent pair of jeans. The clerk looked at my grandson and rolled her eyes. My grandson said all the kids were wearing them. A few years later, he brought jeans to me and ask me if I could fix a tear. So fads come and go. We just have to out last them.
