I agree that they look awful, but it won't do any good to complain to the stores.. Our age group is not who they are marketing to. As long as teens are buying them they are going to stock them. Teens started the trend and they will wear them until something more outrageous comes along... I would rather see someone with ripped jeans that with their butt hanging out showing their underwear Butt, don't really like either one.

I don't mind the faded look all that much - I still think it should be 'earned' - and the 'natural fading' looks so much better to me.

The torn ones, the overlong ones, the ones that are belted around the thighs, are - to my way of thinking - just plain hazardous!

I agree, however I was told to get with the times by my niece when my sis and I were discussing this very thing....

When we wore jeans that look like some of them they pay lots of money for now, my Mom patched the holes and they got passed down to the next younger child.

I as a manager in retail will say this... when a customer complains about the style of clothes we sell, I will agree with that said person (as it saves creating bad feelings with a customer and makes them feel better about the complaint), but it will NOT change what we sell. We focus on the younger generation, for one main reason... they buy more clothes than adults. How often do we as adults buy a new pair of jeans? Most don't replace them until they really need to be replaced (or we change size), but kids always want to be what they call top fashion.. so they buy often. So if we don't sell them, they will go down the street to buy them. We sell 6 pair of young peoples jeans to 1 pair of adults, so where is the money?
