I text all the time. I am almost 60. I learned so my kids and niece
Would "talk" with me more. I really like it now. My husband and I can send each other quick messages without being obtrusive if he is at work |
Don't even have a cell phone - just a land-line for this 'puter! Got a MagicJack, though!

I text because it is cheaper than phoning and is included in my fees. A voice call costs extra.

Nope.

My daughter is tr'ting to convince me that I need all these new fangled functions. I've already hit that era!...When I go babysit the grandkids at their house, they have to show me how to use the TV, the WII, and the microwave! I'm slowly falling out of touch...LOL |
I have just a basic phone also and don't have a need to use text. It's sad to see kids that text but can't carry on a conversation. I've read papers kids have turned in at school and they think it's ok to use text language. I haven't met a teacher yet that accept it.

I do. Mostly to my son in the Marines. He's a man of very few words! LOL
