I text all the time. I am almost 60. I learned so my kids and niece
Would "talk" with me more. I really like it now. My husband and I can send each other quick messages without being obtrusive if he is at work

Don't even have a cell phone - just a land-line for this 'puter! Got a MagicJack, though!

I text because it is cheaper than phoning and is included in my fees. A voice call costs extra.

I text alot. My kids TRY to keep me up to date. If you don't keep up, you'll get left in the technolgical dust! Then you'll start talking about those "young whippersnappers." Even "new fangled" scares me! :)

I've already hit that era!...When I go babysit the grandkids at their house, they have to show me how to use the TV, the WII, and the microwave! I'm slowly falling out of touch...LOL

I have just a basic phone also and don't have a need to use text. It's sad to see kids that text but can't carry on a conversation. I've read papers kids have turned in at school and they think it's ok to use text language. I haven't met a teacher yet that accept it.

I do. Mostly to my son in the Marines. He's a man of very few words! LOL

I text my baby who went away to college this year. I text mu hubby sweet messages thru out the day at work. I think it is so great.
