I stay in contact with my granddaughter via text as they are in another state. I text pictures BUT I never never text while driving, I even dislike answering the phone while I am driving !

My son and daughter got me a phone a year or so ago.. I was so upset. I told them I am at work or at home!!!
Daughter was in college away from home at the time. I text. It comes in handy sometimes. But if my son wants to take me off his plan. I will be ok with it. lol
While trying to quilt and have the phone make its noise for a text just sets me off for some reason... lol And if I am working outside in the summer forget it... the cell phone stays in the house.

love texting. i dislike telephones. don't like talking to people (in real life). text is so much easier. read when you can, respond when you can. don't have to answer a phone. texting and facebook and message boards were created for me. i can still "connect" without being with people.

I had all texting and emailing and media removed from the basic phone service as soon as I purchased my new phone. After working for 5 1/2 years with a major telecommunicatiosn company I see no reason to be texting, emailing or sending photos back and forth on a phone. If I have something to say, I call. I much prefer the personal contact over a typed texted message. hasn't anyone realized that our younger people are losing the ability to spell or take command of the english language because of texting. They actually think that all those brief words/letters they use in texting is the actual way they are supposed to be spelled in correspondence. What a sad state of affairs for education. Ever see a real letter from a teenage in this day and age. Most do not know how to spell correctly. By blocking everything, I am not charged for anything coming to my phone that I didn't ask for or want. Saves a lot of money.

You bet I text...and text...and text...I find it a very convenient and useful tool. I find facebook a good way to keep in the know, but I do not tweet...anyone tweet?
