I text to the kids, I do have friends and family that are on limited minutes and cant talk till after 9pm so we text during the day. I have an unlimited text and long distance plan on my cell, so I have to do most of the calling of familly and out of town friends. And that suites me just fine, I talk when I have time, and I usually dont get interupted when quilting.

I do, especially when I want to send a picture in a message. have one friend who uses only text with me and my kids both text, but we talk on the phone, too. My husband doesn't use it, though. Ii think it's OK for quick messages, but do prefer talking for anything more than that. I do love my iphone, though. It's mind-boggling to thin about what can be doe on a little thing like that these days. Technology is amazing. Just think about what texting did for Egypt!

I don't and don't see the need, we are all too unnecessarily reliant on these things.

absolutely not. And I will not pay to receive texts either which means my married kids have to actually call me....horrors!!!

Nope. I enjoy being out of touch with phone, texting, etc.

Yip I do but I am new to it' just like quilting.

I do it if I have to, otherwise I hate it. Won't even answer cell phone unless stopped and off the road and then only if I feel like it which is almost never. It can wait till I get home on my REAL phone, thank you!!
