I use DH's old socks that have terry lining for my dust cloths, just turn the inside out and they are ready. I also use the old socks when I give my feet a heavy cream treatment, other than that, holey socks and too holy to darn. May in Jersey

Yes, the prices are high, but everything seems to be nowadays! Those are very fine wools or blends....

I darn the expensive ones and favorites that I probably can't find in a store anymore. I use embrodery floss and an antique darning egg.
