Just imagining this had me laughing. I bet those guys gave up braking into houses after that

I have something in every room for protection. I will not state since this board can be access from the public.

Since I don't own a gun I would use anything at hand. Sewing machine too far away but cast iron skillet is a good idea.

Depends on if he broke in the front door or back door. Iron skillet if he came in the back. My father's compressed air bottle if he came in the back. Either of those could really do some damage. Haha.

My mother-in-law told us that many years ago my husbands aunt was abused by her husband. Mom said her and dad got a call from his sister. She wanted them to come get her. Her husband had come home drunk, slapped her around and passed out for the night in their bed. Dad said when they got there she was waiting for them on the porch with a skillet in her hand and suitcases packed. After he had passed out she tied all the sheet corners on the bed to the head and foot board so he couldn't move, then she proceeded to beat him about the body and legs. Told him he would never lay another hand on her. Mom said that was the best use of cast iron skillet she had ever heard of.

I think it would be too heavy, but there would be something close I could use...

My hubby would owe me big time ;)

I wouldn't want to hurt my machine. My German Shepards would keep him busy until I got my shotgun aimed at him.
