That's what I was wondering , it wasn't mentioned in the story,
But the reporter probably won't know one kind from another.
I know this was bad news but I thought it so funny.

I think I would let my 90+ lb Akita-Shepherd mix take care of the situation!

After the German Shepherd bit him, I would have to shoot him.

Although, I would probably use my sewing machine, since it is making a horrible sound. LOL

My four doxies would have held him down while I whacked him a few times with the butt of one of my guns, which I would have been more than happy to use on him, IF I could have gotten a clear shot.

My husband had to forego shooting a pitbull attacking me a few years back because he might have hit me. I was given permission to shoot it if it ever came near me again (absolutely unheard of down here), but to be careful I didn't miss and hit someone else.

Grandmas with canes are a force to be reconded with.

I was telling my Dh about this topic and he told me that on his last visit to his moms(in PA), he was in her bedroom helping her with computer issues when he leaned up against her 4 poster bed and the post was wobbly and came off in his hand, looking at his mom puzzled(shes 81) she says thats so if someone breaks in I can easily grab it and beat them with it! Oh my goodness! Grannies are always thinking, I would have never thought that this sweet little old lady would have thought that much ahead.

Never underestimate women, lol. Of all the You Tube videos I have seen, my very favorite is of an older woman crossing the street S L O W L Y and this guy honks his horn at her. She whacks the front of his car with her cane, and his air bags explode in his face, lol. Not only was it very funny, but as soon as I started walking with a cane, I realized just how viral this video must have gone, because I get the most courteous treatment when I cross streets and walk in cross walks, lol.

I have to admit that I carry a gun for self protection all the time now. There is no way I can fight the way I used to be able to. I also keep them available in the house. But I am not above using things at hand....wasp spray, pam cooking oil, hair spray, whatever is handy. Women are very resourseful.

And of course...I do have my cane, lol.
