My iron skillet sits out on the stove as I use it nealy every day for something, even grilled sandwiches, so I'd probably try to grab for that.

One of my daughters, who is single and lives alone, has baseball bats stashed in convenient locations thru out her house.

More than likely wife was AT her sewing machine when they broke in. Good for her!

Never would I use one of my machines! I did; however, have a daughter who played softball for several years and still have several of her bats laying around. 8-)
