Sounds like a "green" sensible thing to do.

In our house, we use gift bags, which we know will make the rounds thru all three houses, two sons and a daughter. No one minds. We just take good care of them and throw them out when they just too old. Your idea is so cleaver and your write up, I loved it.

I went to my nieces shower last month. They were throwing all of the gift bags away. I took every one of them. I love the idea of potato chip bags turned inside out. I never thought of that. I will start saving them for Christmas

We had a traveling gift bag that went all through the family.
Never knew when it would show up and for who.
Lots of fun

The other thing I do besides the $ store. I will buy pot and pan scrubbies and use them for bows for shower gifts. I hate buying bows worse that I hate buying wrapping paper.

Such a clever and cheap ideas you have. Better to spend money on the gift than on throw away stuff.

I agree with you....frugal or thrifty are much better words for saving money.
