I also have been very poor in money and material possessions early in life. But, I learned that I did not have to stay that way and learned to work hard and get a good education. I went to college and worked two jobs most of the time. I graduated with ten dollars to my name. But, I was rich in my faith that God would provide and He did-far beyond what I could have imagined. When I do for others I do my best work. If I give food to the church food pantry it is nutritious and not junk food. I am more concerned about the poverty of spirit than the perceived poverty of material things. I pray for people to gain and attitude of "I'll try to do my best and accept graciously the helping hands extended and reach out to others when I can." We all have something to share with others no matter our financial state.
