Yellow peeps rule! But they have to be left out for a day or two so they're not so soft.
Love them! But I agree, I tried some red Valentines ones and they were not good!
I love peeps! I had a chocolate covered one yesterday. I like any color peeps. But my favorite is the flavored peeps they put out at Valentines. The Strawberry cream and the Vanilla Cream. I also like the Orange Cream that they have at Halloween. I don't like the gingerbread flavor ones they make at Christmas though. I like that they are making more colors of peeps for Easter. They have a rainbow of peeps now. So pretty.
We have so many memories of peeps. How they were eaten by the wrong person, unually Grandpa. I would love to see peeps on quilting material, it would make nice baby or young childs quilts.

Yesterday, I saw and bought chocolate covered peeps. They, too, are good but in a different way. When I think of Easter peeps, I want yellow peeps. I don't care for the marshmallow bunnies or anything else, just peeps. Does anyone else like peeps? Marie M. |
I'm with you. I like them better when they are a little hard. Believe it or not my 2 dogs love marshmallows. They will do anything to get them. 1 is a golden and the other is lab mix.
I like the chocolate covered marshmallow rabbits (Brachs, purple foil, 8 to-a-box). They're probably the cheapist chocolate and cheapist marshmallow but I love them - UNTIL I tried Russell Stover. Now I'm in a dilemma; quantity or quality
I am a sugar fiend. Nothing is too sweet or gooky for me.
DH is a huge Peeps fan. Too sweet for me.

Gosh, I thought I was the only one who liked their peeps stale. My husband likes them fresh and he thinks I'm crazy for wanting them to get stale. They taste the best that way.
And, thanks for all the other fun things you can do with them. Never knew about microwaving them. I have to say, though, blowing up the peeps in the microwave oven seems kind of wasteful for the peeps. |
you can always scrape them off the walls and eat them
I love black jelly beans but have not bought any this year due to I'd eat the entire bag
I like the spicy jelly beans not the gourmet type. The cheap ones are the best. They are difficult to find
My DS,DD,and I love peeps. MY fav is yellow and his is blue and she eats them all. I agree with you the others taste funny. Sean and I like them soft. Fe eats them stale.
I love Easter Yellow peeps. At first I was excited when they came out with the Halloween and other holiday "peeps", but they are just not the same. And you are right YELLOW is the only true color. My family all goes YUCK when I buy them. I am glad they do not like them LOL. And "Peeps" were only meant to be eaten at Easter/Spring time.
i love them, take a small bite and let them melt in my mouth, all colors are great, i even made one for my chicken quilt. chocolate coved is ok. don't get me wrong i love chocolate, but its something about a pep, i love so much, they're the gretest!!
P.S. NOTHING is ever too sweet
have you ever put one in the microwave /
Yes! And there are many of us. I like to open mine for a day or two and let them get just the tiniest bit stale and chewy. Okay, okay. Kind of gross but yummy. They sell them all year now but I limit myself to a few packages at Easter. Google this and you'll find a small army of Peep fans out there.
Count me in as liking Peeps, doesn't matter what color they are I like them all.
Count me in! Wish we could them here in Norway!
I husband loves peeps (of course he's just a big kid at heart). I never really liked them.
I love them. Fresh, stale, or staler.
I like them, but they have to start getting a little hard.
Also like any color of them or bunnies, butthey have to be the same way. :-) :-) |
I love yellow peeps.
only the yellow peeps will do! love them...
Peeps are OK. I will eat them and I do like to watch them expand in the microwave oven but, when it come to Easter candy I just have to have my Russell Stover jellybeans and some chocolate.
Peeps YUM !! fresh stale any color just finished a box full hehehe won't share my peeps
I am a yellow peeps girl. I want bunnies, not chicks, but will eat chicks, if forced to. ha ha I just don't care for the deep pink shade and the blue just shouldn't be allowed.
So far, I have only brought two packages home and had to share with DH. A few more will probably hop in my cart when I go back to WM. My daughter loves Cadbury Cream eggs, but they are a little too rich for me. |

I love peeps too. But they have to be stale. Hard as a rock. When we were kids my mom would have to buy them a month before Easter and open the packages so they would be stale by Easter morning. We would all complain if they were fresh.
My favorite food family! I buy when the first show up on the shelves and then I tear a hole in the top and set them up on a high shelf and leave them until Easter. YUM! ;-)
I like peeps when they are a little hard and crusty.
Peeps---I love those things too. At Halloween they had some ghost peeps, but they just do not cut it. I agree the yellow ones are best. They are on sale this week at one of the stores, half price. Guess what will follow me home, a flock of peeps. grin. DH#2 is crazy about them too. Other two cannot stand them.
I've always liked them too - yes, the yellow chicks! My entire family is disgusted by them, but I won't let them make me feel guilty for eating them. Long live yellow peeps!
Of course, we had to pick some up and try the jousting thing, I guess we must be doing it wrong...they didn't joust they just blew up....
My husband LOVES Peeps - loves the yellow ones the best. Did you know The Washington Post has a Peeps Diorama contest every year?
