Love those peeps!
|
It's good to know that I'm not the only one who loves the peeps. The yellow ones are the best ! Can't wait for Easter to come and they are on the shelves.
|
my daughter likes them hard.. but last year i made a discovery.... way after easter we were sitting at the firepit and didn't have any marshmellows but guess what we did have...yup we roasted peeps. they were good but you can only have 1 !!!!!
|
Love them all! I love that they come out at Halloween with Pumpkin heads. Any color. Any design.
I like them best after the package has been opened and exposed to the air for a day or so. Now problem is I am working through http://www.myfitnesspal.com trying to lose weight. I am doing quite well thank goodness. But it does mean no peeps for me this Easter this year. |
I can't stand them. Make me gag.
|
This reminds me of a girl I used to work with. She wanted to lose weight so she was hypnotized and could not eat any sweets. When she did this though, her only request was that she could still have her PEEPS......LOL....she lost all her weight she wanted and still enjoys her peeps.

They are made here in Reading, PA!
|
I LOVE Easter Peeps....Not the other holidays...they just don't cut it. I don't like the Chocolate ones...they taste so fake.
They are best hard....I have already polished off 2 packages. Need another Peeps fix! I always go out the day after Easter and stock up on them at half price. I bought 12 packages last year....but, I only got 6 or 7...hubby and the guys decided to save me from myself. |
I love 'em and if they are a bit hard even better...don't care what color but i think the yellow ones are my fav. But I must not eat too many not good for diabetics. (but I do cheat a bit on the holiday stuff) moderation you know.

My hubby loves them. He has a t shirt that says
"Where are my peeps at?" |

I too love yellow peeps at Easter time. The others do taste different - like you can taste the dye or something. I was informed, when buying Easter candy for nieces that " Who every buys those marshmellow things - nobody likes them." They bring back a lot of childhood memories for me.
|
I'm a peep lover. I sometimes put them in the micro till they puff up. Mmmmmmmm.
|
The peeps they make now are not the same ones I ate as a little girl. I think they taste horrible but I used to eat them all the time, and black jelly beans, and I love the chocolate covered marshmellow rabbits. mmmmmm
|
My daughter loves peeps but she pokes a hole in the cellophane and puts them up till they turn hard then she eats them!

Isn't it funny how so many like them after they have hardened up?! I just read back several pages. |

Yesterday, I saw and bought chocolate covered peeps. They, too, are good but in a different way. When I think of Easter peeps, I want yellow peeps. I don't care for the marshmallow bunnies or anything else, just peeps. Does anyone else like peeps? |

Love, love, love them. And I'm not picky about the color either. It's just not Easter without peeps.
|
I like them.
|
Count me in.
Actually it started waaay back when I had to buy them for DH. Every year...yellow peeps. BUT... he likes to leave them open for a few days to "toughen up"...not me...gobble. (Now I get most of them because he's diabetic... ;) ;-) |
I have to have the blue ones. Yummy.
|
My younger sister is a peep-a-holic! She eats them all year now that they make them for all the holidays. She has never had a cavity. Go figure! I am in the 'gag' peeps camp myself!

Open the packages, put them in a paper bag on top of the fridge and then check them every day till they are of the proper hardness. Then crack them into pieces and mmmmmm good!!! |
I would rather have just a plain marshmallow.

I always got yellow peeps (that is all they came in when I was a kid) in my Easter basket. I never liked them, but always bought them for my children's Easter baskets. They never liked them either. We hosted exchanged students (5 over 4 years) and the only girl that liked them was our Russian girl. The Japanese and Thai thought they were hideous, but sent them home to their families to try. No one liked them. One Japanese mother didn't want her daughter to tell us she thought they were terrible, but once she found I didn't like them either, we all had a good laugh.
|
My husband loves peeps - especially "old" ones. Easter ones are best in July - just let them sit in the windshield of the car for awhile to get soft and chewy again. I know he is a strange one - but he is my strange one.

Sooo yummy! Total sugar rush.
|
on a trip to upstate new york (hello, karla) the peep factory could have been a kind of side trip. we called ahead to make arrangements for their tour. sadly, they stopped giving tours!!
we were VERY disappointed. we all love the yellow peeps. once you start playing with the colors, they lose something, don't they? |
I love all peeps, no matter what color or shape. I don't eat many anymore.
|
Love em! I buy them for the grandkids - but for some reason they never seem to get any----
Ruby the Quilter |
Like the peeps also
|
Absolutely love them! My favorites were always the pink bunnies and yellow chicks. Last year our local Michael's craft store had them on clearance for .25 per package and boy did I have fun!
|
I am like you I love peeps. And you are right you can't eat just one. I have to eat the whole box or two as the case may be.
