Well, it's official...my DD has been discovered by the boys! She's in 8th grade so I knew it was coming but I don't think I'm ready!

Who would have thought it would happen over night. I guess I better start praying more. :-D

Yes, praying more is a good thing. Coming from a mother of 3 girls.....

Advice from one Mom to another...Lock her up and throw away the key...lol..j/k

I am sure they have noticed your masterpiece before. But boys are an odd brew.

My girls have an older brother, a very big brother, who let these little men know their place....haha

Here daddy wants to line the guns up on the table just so the boys get the idea.

I like the idea of locking her up and tossing the key!

My daughter is 10 months, I am dreading that stage. Told my hubby that I was going to lock her in her room until she was 25. :)

I was dreading the "teen years"and before I knew it- we were through them! My daughters were easier than the boys- go figure!

Just love them and keep the lines of communication open. It's tough being a parent but you'll make it!

LOL My DD"s uncles were cleaning their handguns when she introduced her future husband! It definately made an impression on my future SIL! LOL

My DH told DD that he was going to lock her up til she was 35! LOL She turned down lots of boys and she met her future DH in 7th grade. She never dated anyone until her future DH asked her out on her 18th birthday because that is what she had told him was the only way she was willing to go out with him! She never dated anyone else. Her rationale-- one guy had three kids by all differant women and she wasn't dumb enough to be number 4! And she promptly told him so! She was very discriminating! LOL

I am sure your daughter will do fine!!

I'm right there with you...only mine is ahead one grade, so she's just turning 13 now in 8th grade...tall, leggy, and so beautiful. But, I think it really helps them stay grounded when they know how very precious they are to both mom and dad....
So far, so good. The biggest issue I'm facing is that her friends are pressuring her to have a boyfriend. Fortunately, she's pretty picky.
Good luck....If you need a sympathetic ear, just holler! 8-)
