That's one big bear!

Very nice bear. Not keeping the dead trees and brush down is what causes wild fires that burn thousands of acres and people's homes. Not sure all the trees need to be cut down but, they do need to be thinned out.

We have bears here also, have bobcat, wolves, trukeys, racoon, and lots of other wild life. I much prefere the wild animals to the city.

Thing is...I don't live in the county...near the city. Its also a neighborhood and our contractor saw the bear running across the st. when he was driving around the neighborhood looking for our house. We live in the north east so not a lot of wild fires here. We do get lots and lots of rain..this year at least ; )

Be very careful. I worked at a hospital in Idaho Falls and they brought in a young girl who was attacked taking a hike in Yellowstone. She had hundreds of stitches in her head but she survived. What a shame the city is taking down the forest, where are the animals going to go ?

He is too close for comfort! It is very sad that they are cutting down the forest.

When I lived in CO, I lived about three blocks from downtown and in the summer and fall, bear were nightly visitors in my yard. We could not leave bird seed, barbeques or garbage cans out. If we did and the bears came and you called Wildlife officer, you got a big fine, your fault. Still they came as they had discovered an easy life down in the city and they were reluctant to give that easy life up. One fall, a block from an elementary school, a she-bear decided to hibernate under a woman's porch so she would be near easy pickings when spring came. They did much damage in town.

That's a whole lot closer than I would like. My washing machine would be going all the time, because of changing clothes so much.

Wow! I feel bad for the wild animals here too in charlotte nc. Their putting in new roads and down come the trees. And these animals have no idea where to go.That bear is beautiful as well as scary.

He is a beautiful creature...it is a shame the way man is encroaching on the land. The poor animals have no where to go. It breaks my heart. We as humans have become heartless toward nature..
