Over grown forests MUST to be thinned for their own health. Trees fall because of storms and/or disease and they need to be removed. Young trees need space and light to grow. In NY our government gave in to the "No cutting at all tree huggers" on public land and they are now a mess. There IS a happy medium, and forests need to be MANAGED. People who don't know what they are talking about have created problems in our public forests.

I would get a group together and get a petition signed. If the members of the city object to cutting down of trees then something should be done, whoever heard of an overgrown forest that you had to thin. It takes hundreds of years for trees to get that size. Thats a load of bull their spewing IMHO

And we complain about the rabbits and squirrels in our back yard and garden! And those birds trying to eat our blackberries. Guess we should be thankful!

the forest behind us is town owned. the town is thinning it out...but they are doing alot of it as well as private owners in the area now...one mountain side that is private owned is almost empty...very bare. There are wood trucks full every day...its not only here but though out our town.

I live near Yosemite, and bears are part of our lives. We haven't seen many this year for some reason. They are generally more afraid of you than you are of them, but be cautious when you come around a corner. They are startled easily

What a beautiful bear....I won't go on a rant about trees or "forest management" but - no trees, no habitat, no air, no rain.....no nothing...
