This is why I threw my Rotary Cutter away. I'm 82 years old, had a finger almost cut off when opening a storm door panel and that is enough. To this day, that spot on that finger is numb.

I cut my finger the first time I used mine but not bad it was the dritz I like the olfa better.

So sorry to learn of your injury. I sewed my finger and it hurt something awful so you're not alone.

Hugs to you....I do hope you are feeling better by now. These rotary cutters can do some major damage. The first year I was quilting I set mine down on the table hurriedly and it slipped off, bounced under the table and hit the top of my foot.....no stitches on this accident, but a pretty good cut to show for it (almost to the bone) and an good amount of pain for a few days. My DH said that could have been avoided if only I would wear shoes when I sew. Being more careful these days.
