GrannyMom....

I think your location may have just come out of hiding, lol. It was pretty nice down here today, not too hot. I look forward to cooler weather, but it has to be cold, really cold, for me to break down and turn on the heat in Florida.

WOW! And everyone thinks Colorado is cold? It was a balmy 85 in Denver today.

Still have the a/c going here. I can't wait until it's cool enough to open the windows and hope we don't have to go straight from a/c to heater.

In Ca, the heat went off mid March, went on mid October. Now, we are in Co, weather is just starting to get cool and we have had only one evening when it was cold even to warrant heating. We invested in portable electric heaters. Brought one in to heat one room and it heated the whole house. And we have two furnances! Guess we won't be using one furnace much this winter. The gas company wants to raise their rates 20% this winter, hopefully not.

I can't believe you waited so long to turn on the heat!
I'm a whimp.

Yeah, I've had mine on a few nights already. Just seems like the cold gets to us more than it used to I guess.

Thats why I live in NC. I grew up in Saugerties NY and it is too cold.
