My mom had decided to name her firstborn Gregory, until the brat was born and turned out to be a girl. Shew, glad she changed her mind. lol

My name "Martina" is not uncommon, but it is usually followed by "oh, like Martina McBride" (nope, can't sing worth a lick) or "like Martina Navratilova" (nope - not that sporty)

My Mothers first name was Ona, followed by Katherine Mary. She said it was Hawaiian. Our minister refused to baptise me as Carol Ann saying it was not a proper name even when my parents explained I was named after my two Godmothers Aunt Carolena and Aunt Anna. But when my Grandfather, who was president of the congregation, said there were other Lutheran churches around the minister angrily agreed.

My name is Lillian Ruth actually pronounced lilyun in my grandmas day. I was named after both of my grandmothers. Lillian Earl and Mayme Ruth. We also have a daughter namedd Lisa Marie and a son named Jimmy Dean. Some of you will get that.
I have friends that have kids name Joshua Jerimiah, Kirtsen and Joslyn. My Neice just named her baby Payton Elyse.

I was looking at a group picture in the newspaper yesterday and there were two kids pictures in the group named Storm and Tornado. Why would anyone name a kid that? Wouldn't that mean a lifetime of grief?

We went to school with a kid named Terry Auchey (teriyaki). What were the parents thinking??

My real name is Betty(not Elizabeth as the teachers use to make me write down). My nickname is Dee which I go by the most(and like better). When I was a baby I had an older brother that my mom tried to make call me BeeBee for short but he ran around saying DeeDee...that's how I got the name. Would you believe, I had a patient one time( I'm a retired nurse) with the exact same story and names?!!!!!! My grandma was Nellie and great grandma was Adellaide.
