Onalee is a nice name, very unique.
My name is Editha, it's Edith with an A, but nobody can pronouce it. It's pronounced like edit (a book) and an a. My daughter's name is Christa...Christ with an A. My husband's name is Chito...that's it!

My father's father was Steele James, my father was Samuel Steele, my brother is James Steele, and my nephew is Benjamin Steele. It's a popular name in our family, but I've never heard it anywhere else.

My mother's sister was Olene, but everyone called her Sis from the time she was born until the day she died!! My grandfather hated that name! She married a man named Harm.

Grandmother's name was Daisy, named a son Danny Thomas, had a friend who named her child Lotie Opal

My name is Robin--I was the only one in my school when I was young. My daughter's name is Noelle--the only one in her school. At one time or another we both hated our names. I had a grandmother named Inez, an aunt named Ion (both vowels are long), and a great aunt named Ida.

Maralyn 03-02-2011 04:35 PM

My name is Maralyn - never met another gal with that spelling.

My son is Curt Joseph and we call him C.J. We had a Jeep CJ5 at the time he was born and wanted him to have those initials. As my husband's name is Joseph, that was not too far a stretch. Continue reading to see why I wouldn't name my son Joe, Jr.

My husband is Joe, his brother is Frank. Joe's father is Frank and Frank's brother is Joe. Shortly after Joe and I were married, when people learned my last name (which is quite unusual) they would ask me if I was related to Joe and Frank - then I had to guess which pair they were talking about depending on their age.

My mother didn't want any of her children to have a nickname - Maralyn, Louise, Wayne, Rita and Laura (never called Laurie) But Laura Ann had a best friend Laurie Ann and both of there last names started with B.
