Mine was a long salmon color satin with a white overlay. It was a pinafore and the bow in back had long tails so that was my train. I wore daisies in my hair and sandals. We had a country wedding with a military overtones since my husband graduated from the US Naval Academy two days before. My husband and sword bearers were in their dress whites. My daughter laughs and calls it our hippie marriage because I wore sandals. June 7, 1974 was a hot day. Beautiful wedding but after almost 36 years of marriage and 24 cross country moves it is wadded up somewhere at the bottom my closet. I am making a crazy quilt for my daughter out of her train. I just might do that for my husband and me with my wedding dress. Hmm.

Mine is in storage. I wanted to make a christening gown, but never had any children. I usually get it out every August 29 (anniversary of divorce), to remind me how foolish I was at 19. Now my plans are for a crazy quilt.

Mine is in the attic in a box with the wedding picture album, The dress lasted but the marriage gave up the ship after 23 yrs, too much drinking and tooooo many other women. LOL, the second one was wonderful and I am a widow now miss him every day.

First one in 1970 was a psychedilic colored mini-dress I made. I made my groom a matching tie. Don't even know what happened to that dress...went the way of the marriage.

My last wedding dress was a great ivory knee length gown with lovely touches of lace. I regret to say that I 'recycled' it. I gave it to someone who was getting married.

Sometimes I think I either don't have a sentimental bone in my body or I recycle too much or both.

thanks to you all, and I am fine, life does go on,

on the wedding dress thing had hopes that my daughter would wear it, but she is taller and bigger boned than me, and I haven't any grand daughters, all boys. :o) But I love them a lot, Maybe some day a great grand daughter.

I make pillows and you can also make the little quilts that they bury newborns in. Because their skin is so fragile they just put them in the little blanket. You can line it with soft flannel. The beads can be put on a crazy quilt of if you just like to make jewerly. Brenda
