I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. I've raised our two daughters while also working outside the home over the past 40 years as a medical secretary, switchboard operator, accounting clerk, office manager, private secretary to a kayak designer/manufacturer, mini school bus matron, and finally a stay-at-home quilter. Life is good, retirement is near.

Now? I'm an office manager for a storage facility and Uhaul dealership. In my past? I've been:
A stay at home mom
Nurse's aide and home care aide
Cook
Cashier/Manager
mechanic (just simple stuff tho)
EMT
Casino runner/Casino Manager
Over the road trucker
What I'd most like to be doing? Housewife. ~sigh~

I taught English 9th-12th grades at an Alternative School in New Orleans, became a mother of 2, taught and owned a pre-school/Kindergarten for 60 kids for 17 years, retired and did drapery/pillow/etc. for a designer, & at the request of our church, started a pre-school in 1999 which grew into a pre-K through 3rd Grade with before & after school care through the yr. after Katrina, then moved & was a sales rep for Alto's Quilt Cut-2 until Dec.2010. A busy, happy(mostly) life. Oh, & wife to the same guy for 40 years next week.

I am a wife for 25+ yrs, a youngest daughter, a step-mother to a wonderful boy and girl (both married with children)so now I am a grandma and My hubby and I are owned by our 3 french bulldogs.
Earlier in life, short order cook, in-home care, bookkeeper, after BS Degree - became an accountant, finally a real estate investor - that really allowed me to retire young and commit my life to my hubby, dogs and quilting.
