I baby sat DGS (4 and 6) a few weeks ago - we were staying for a few days and I brought a bunch of little surprises that I brought out one at a time. So for the last night, when the parents were out and we were babysitting, I had a package of balloons. I blew them up and let them fly around the room. Well, let me tell you - two hours of non-stop fun!! And the last one was just as hilarious as the first one. Not to mention making funny noises letting air out. I wish everyone could enjoy life the way little kids do.

Recipe for Sidewalk Chalk Paint.
One part water
One-one and half parts corn starch
Food coloring
Empty sandpails or ice cream buckets
Paint brushes of all sizes ( We like the 1, 2, or 3 inch paintbrushes. Larger ones are cumbersome for kids, and smaller ones take too long and can bore the kids.)
Mix together the water, corn starch and food coloring in buckets. Dress kids in rain coats or old large shirts, or swimsuits if it is warm enough. Take the kids outside, give them an area of cement or blacktop to paint on, and let them go. Wash off if needed with the garden hose. (Kids too!!)
