Default Rather strange don't you think?

My stove needed a new receptacle for one of the big burners. So I find this one at Home Depot and get it home.
I didn't notice the small writing on the package until this morning. I bought this a couple of weeks ago and left it on the workbench in the garage.

My stove is GE.........but................(read small print)

You would think a "GE" part would fit a "GE" appliance....that's really lame.

Call them or take it back. As long as you still have the receipt, it shouldn't be a problem. I would send the photo to GE in an email and ask them to explain. Maybe a very big typo!

Wonder if the package was printed in China and that's a burp in language translation? I know, I know... GE should have had someone who read and caught that, but it's the world we live in now.

My husband installed it. It actually gives better contact than the other three burners connectors. This replacement does in fact look exactly like the originals, who knows what was going through their minds when designing the package.

Oh, geeze! I hate when that type of thing happens. Someone was certainly clueless when they let that packaging go through that way. Glad it worked for you, though!

I laughed at that label. Strange indeed.
