thank you so much for asking first. we really appreciate it. i know it's a lot to ask when others aren't playing by the rules, but if you could hold off until Admin has posted the new standards it would be a big help to us.

thanks again for being a team player.
Unless I missed it there should be something on the gcc section saying please wait to post unless people take the time to read this whole thread, I didn't see it until yesterday, that was alot of reading, some people may not know that this is what was asked. Not everyone is going to read this whole post. If they start at the beginning they will quite before they get to that part.
Thanks for all you do for this forum!

if members are not reading this thread - which has the longest title in the section and stands out like a sore thumb - then they should be posting in accordance with policy as it currently stands because they'd be unaware another change is on the horizon.

i'm fairly certain that a few people are deliberately ignoring the current rules simply because they don't want to wait. that creates confusion and innocent members follow suit.

it's too bad, really. How can Admin concentrate on formulating the best possible new policy if he's constantly distracted by shenanigans? :?

it is/was my understanding that

1) we could continue responding to topics that are already on GCC -

2) admin would like us to wait until they get everything sorted out before we start any NEW topics on GCC.

3) if we feel we need to talk/write, we can go to the PDA section and "do our thing" - either start a thread if we haven't already done so, or add to the one that is already there

(with the caveat of keeping it reasonably clean, and avoiding religion and politics)

???? is that understanding correct?

Oh dear, i did respond on Henry and Shadow's threads, but maybe i shouldnt have? I'm unsure, but i didnt start any threads, now im not sure if you mean dont post at all, or just dont start any new threads, so i think i wont post at all until this is more clear. So im not sure if i shouldnt have posted at all, so i will definitely hold off, and i do apoligize if i was wrong. I am really glad how this thread has worked out, and i look forward to the new rules being posted.

That's what I was thinking...

It feels like it's been a long wait for the new rules... sigh.

Henry and Shadow were away. Their return announcements are still in GCC for obvious reasons.

If the topic is still there and unlocked, it's ok to add a comment. it would be unfair to say you shouldn't. things are confusing enough already.

if we leave violating posts in GCC, it leaves the wrong impression. it's also extremely unpleasant to delete them. tough call. can't do nothing. can't go to extremes. yeeps!!! :?
