I hope this is passed down the family and well loved. Such a treasure. I don't think like you I could ever use the items in it, all I would want to do is, look at them and feel them. Beautiful box.

How sweet. I just love the box and story behind it. My dad was in the south pacific also during world war ll.

My wedding ring was made by my late Father in Law for his Mom. It was carved from an Australian schilling.

My Dad was in the Army during WWII and my Mom was a WAAC driving an officer's jeep.
Proud daughter of 2 WWII veterans !!!!

that's absolutely gorgeous!! My dad was a George (Jr) too. His father was KIA during WWII, and my dad never met his father.

You have a great treasure, hold onto that forever!! It's in wonderful condition.
