My deceased husband retired young & we took a 9 month RV trip thru Can/USA --fabulous places- that is why I can relate to some of your locations. If sign read" tourist trap "--we went --such fun. Took Singer "Geni" and notions for rainy times and necessity.Took many other long distance trips. Had no cell phone then or internet so I would find it easier now.
While I was a widow I was too afraid to travel alone.

New husband doesn't like to travel unless boating is involved so glad I did it previously.

Such great memories! I tease my DH that if he goes first, I will sell everything and buy me one of those little tear drop trailers and just travel and take my nephew with me. lol

Where in Ky are you going for the Bluegrass Festival? There is a big Bluegrass Festival in the town I used to live in, Bill Monroe was from there.

It is at Jerusalem Ridge, near Rosine. Yep, the same one. We have been wanting to go for several years now. We are really looking forward to it!
