We don't have them here. In the early spring we have plant louses from time to time but I don't use any kind of phytotoxin. I must admit I use an old teethbrush to remove this little green bugs...quite a lot of work! When they come in thousands I spray them with a mixture of dish liquid or soap and water. Works great.

If your bugs are like mine they are Japanese Beetles and they killed my yellow rose bush two years ago. We buy the traps for them but they keep coming. They are attacking the crape myrtles this year.

Beautiful! Just beautiful! Roses were my grandpa's favorite thing. He spent many hours working in his roses. Brings back so many memories!!
