Default School Supplies

I think many stores are gearing up for sale prices on school supplies.

Now is the time to think about getting glue sticks, washable glue, markers, etc.

I'm watching for the Crayola ultra clean washable markers.

I just bought the Crayola ultra clean washable markers at Walmart. Can't remember the price. And 20 boxes of crayons that we donate to a charity.

Got a 10-pack of the ultra-clean washable Crayola markers at WalMart for $2.77 this afternoon.

Lutheran World Relief had specifications online for school bags, so a group of us at church made them from sturdy fabric we had on hand. We made copies of the school supplies (list also provided online by World Relief) and put a list in each bag and hung the bags on a hall tree in the church. People could take as many bags as they wanted and fill them then return to the hall tree. We also made a collection box for cash in case they wanted to help but didn't wish to shop for supplies. Our little church filled 75 bags this way and if we buy on sale, it costs very little but helps so much.

I like this idea. Can you post a link to the site(s)?

bearisgray, what do you use the markers for, I might need to get some. About glue sticks, how do you keep them fresh, mine in a zip bag in the fridge get dry.

The ultra washable markers are good for any marking job you might have. I use the fine tip ones for marking the quilting lines. Make sure you use the Crayola brand, the off brands don't wash out easily...ask how I know
