My husband goes to the store to get me some Cranberry juice and he knows I have to have the diet
kind (not allowed to drink the other) and what does he come home with? The regular kind not diet.
He says: that was all they had. So why did you get this if it was not diet I say. He says because that
was all they had. (sigh) I just had to laugh over this one.

Mine pretty much gets what I want but I rarely ask him to go. When he goes with me we end up with about $100 more than I had intended. This is not good! It's faster if I go by myself but in a pinch he's good with a list.

My husband usually does pretty good, though at times can bring home the wrong stuff. I try to be specific (literally brand name, size, and location in the store) on my list to help him out and he will call me if he gets confused or needs help. I do all the shopping for our household so unless it is something that can be found in the beer aisle, he typically needs a little assist. I try to be thankful but there have been moments when he has brought something home and my response has been "SERIOUSLY???" Still, I am grateful for his help. Some of my girlfriends are not as lucky!

I only send mine with a very short list, about all he can handle at one time. He usually brings back the right things. Usually like: bread or 1/2 gallon milk, loaf of whole wheat bread. Easy simple things and he needs a list if only one item is needed.

My sympathy; I am very lucky. My husband does almost all of the grocery shopping, and is very good at it. He price shops but never sacrifices quality. He also is a good cook.

My DH works in a grocery store, so no problem there. He finds some pretty good bargins sometimes.

Yes, I guess they all do this. Mine does the same things. We have been getting 1 percent milk for along time and one day he brings home 2 percent. never reads anything it says.

I could have posted this! Seriously, my DH has taken over the cooking; sometimes I cook, but not often. He cooks and I clean up kitchen. I've learned not to complain when he goes to store; hey, he's cooking, and I can sew!
