Congrats coutryhousequilter, awesome job, keep up the losing.
Cindy a month with something for turquoise would be awesome and also make me work harder, lol.
Welcome to all the newcomers and good luck.......I've fallen off the work out wagon this week.....gotta drag myself back on. Made a busy little apron for a friend's grand daughter this week. Lone star is in the holding pattern, while I decide what else to add because it's not as big as I want yet........sigh.......thought I was done until I measured it.

thx, irish, yes, i must have read the thread, quickly, just skimming over it. ex-hubby's caretaker? bless your heart. did you all have children together? if, so , i can understand. you must be a saint anyway for undertaking that. god bless you. gotta cut the fat quarters to get mailed tomorrow. looks like we are running short of time to get that done.
i'm working on a twin quilt for the little grandson who just graduated to a big boy bed. making a twin out of primary colors with 1/2 sq tri's. and using up quickie paper. forget the name. too late at nite for me. going to be stars, and a few other configurations. going slow on a 2nd DJ quilt. yes, irish. ole WW usually works for me, if i can just leave the crap alone. i usually fall off the wagon after about 20 lbs. but my daughters wouldn't shut up, about me losing wt.,,, so here goes....

Yesterday was exhausting, but fun. A friend and I headed into PA. Dropped my machine off for servicing while we hit a couple shops having sales. Of course I bought fabric :-) Got fabric to finish off what I need to do a quilt I want to make so I'm excited about that. When we went back to pick up my machine the owner gave me a demo on the Bernina 830LE....I'm in love. He offered me a great deal on trading in my Bernina and 48 months of payments with no interest. I so want to get it, but had to talk it over with DH first. Right now, not in my plans . Oh well, eventually. Till then I'll keep trudging along on my 630 anniversary edition. It's a good machine, just love the bells and whistles on the newer one.

Weather should be changing here this weekend. Can't wait to open the curtains and throw open the windows!!!! LET THE FALL BEGIN!!!!!

Thanks for the welcome aboard Cindy
I will send my FQ in the next day or two.
Just finished my walk with DH and Jasper, 2.5 miles. One scrambled egg with Oj and half a banana. Now out to clean up the yard.
stay focused and check in often.

I looked at the post and again, I am too late for September. I will watch better this month so that I can sign-up for October. I think this is such a great idea and I want to try very hard to be a "winner", any weight I lose will make me an instant winner, right? Good luck all, may the best loser be a "big winner!". (a smaller but big winner)

SewNso, children? Five live births, two stillbirths and 6 miscarriages. Then there are many grandchildren and great grand children so the answer to your question is yes, we had children together. 42 years, 4 months and 4 days of marriage to the same person. At first I balked at becoming his driver to out of town Dr app'ts and surgeries, but Sh!!, I take in stray dogs and he's still a human being in need. The trouble is he wants more than I willing to give. If you want more info, PM me. Everyone doesn't want to be bored with a long story.

Lily, Moira and I went walking the rain. The worst that happened is my hair became curly, but I'm not going anywhere, so it's no big deal. Two days ago it was very hot, yesterday it was hot, but breezy and this evening I needed a jacket. Life in N Michigan.

So far so good on the food today, though I did have carbs after 1:00 pm. Basmati rice is so good. But I controlled myself and saved some for tomorrow.

I bought a pretty batik today. I want to make an uneven Log Cabin wall hanging for my living room. I just realized I still have a stained glass Southwest mirror hanging in there and I don't use SW in the LR any more. Do I want three different quilts going at once? - though the baby quilt could be done if I'd glue my butt to the chair. I really don't like having to follow a line.

Off to clean house a bit. I unhooked my cable today and haven't figured how to switch the TV back to no cable, so I've got nothing. What did the installer change? It's a good thing I'm not much on TV. Charter just keeps going up and I have no control, but I can cancel it.

Have a good evening, y'all. I am losing weight and getting healthier.

Good morning all, Had a pretty good eating day yesterday. DH took me for fish and chips , I was craving it as he can't take the smell of fish cooking in the house. It was so good but not the best calorie wise. I did leave all but a very few of the fries.
Today we are taking Jasper to a doggie day in the park. They will have all sorts of actives for our four legged friends. Jasper loves to be with other dogs.
Must stay on track with eating and drinking water today. I'm making a flank steak in the crockpot so dinner is ready when we get back from the park.
Have a good weekend. Be good to yourself and if tempted ask if it's really good for you and do you really need it or just think you just have to have it. Wait 5 min and see if you still want it. Works for me most of the time
hugs to all
Gail

Well I was good today, kinda, sorta lol. I didn't do too bad on the eating, but haven't really done any walking and as usual didn't drink enough water. Well the water I can fix, but no walking tonight. I've reached my physical limit for the day. I will try again tomorrow. I was, however, a very good girl in the fabric store. I went to a lovely LQS today to pick up some fabric for my secret swap partner and managed to leave without purchasing anything for myself!
