The remarks on this thread brings to mind some of the patterns I have collected for the 2015 Row by Row event. It is evident that some shop owners went to a great deal of effort to provide nicely printed, pictured, designed patterns. And some look like, excuse me, crap. To me, this was a reflection on what they thought of their customers. If they couldn't be bothered with offering a pattern with decent drawings, they shouldn't have bothered being in the event.

My DH recently was in MN & for the 1st time ever went to a LQS and spent a lot of $$. He also purchased a kit for a display that was on the wall that He liked. It came with a booklet of several quilts but the quilt he liked wasn't in it! I emailed the shop & was told how wonderful my DH was and they sent a pic to my phone. It had 1 of the fabrics from the display in the pic! So now I, a beginner have to completely figure out how to make a quilt from a picture. I guess this is where the saying goes...be careful what you wish for....oh well at least he finally surprised me with some other fabrics too. Wish me luck on this so he will go shopping for me again.
