Silly goose me.......

After I watched a kid checking out cars on his way to school (25 years ago) I ALWAYS lock the car, no matter how quickly I'll be back. That showed me that even though he had to be to school in 5 min. he had time to look for trouble.

My grandmother did that once. She had a yellow Mustang in the '60's and she went to get into her car after work and there were THREE yellow Mustangs lined up! She had to try each one to find hers! That was back in the day when people generally didn't lock things up.

Oh yes, I've done that too--and recently. Seems every other car in the parking lot these days, is a grey Honda. And since it was DH's that I was driving, couldn't remember the licence plate. Finally figured out which one was 'mine' by hitting the lock remote and zoning in on the 'beep'.

I came out of LQS last year and used my key fob to open door of "my" car. When I got it I noticed all these children's books on front seat. Looked around and my car was 2 over. As I am getting out, this lady walks up and I explained what happened. I don't think she really believed me until she clicked her key fob and unlocked my car as well. Found out she purchased her car in Virginia. Called Lexus and yes, it is rare but there are duplicate fobs.

oh how funny. glad the man didn't get upset. he shouldn't anyway.
one day when leaving Walgreens, i put my hand on the handle of my van door and almost opened it -but i saw people sitting in my van!!! turned out it wasn't mine!!
i quickly moved onto my own vehicle!
